Jake and Emily. Day 27.

Coasting like the PNW Coast

Jake

What did you do today?

We just talked on the phone for a bit tonight. She had some funny stories from the day. Not much to report this time.

What did you learn about them? What did you learn about yourself?

Hmmm... I don't think I learned anything new today.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your time together today?

Seven. Short, sweet, and to the point.

On a scale from 1-10 how positively do you feel about your relationship at this point?

Eight.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your chemistry with him/her?

Seven.

Other thoughts?

Sorry this is probably the lamest log I have ever written. Really, nothing happened today. I think a little bit of time apart is healthy for a relationship.

What did you do today?

We had short chat on the phone as I drove home from chaperoning a stake dance.

What did you learn about them? What did you learn about yourself?

Jake asked me for recommendations on filling out a W-4 for his new job, and I had no idea what to tell him. I think that was disappointing for him haha. I learned that if he's going to be dating a cougar, then I should probably come up with some life wisdom/skills to offer since I’ve had extra years on this planet.

Actually here's something for Jake to think about: If he wound up with me, he'd get a National Parks Senior Citizen Pass 4.5 years early. I only have 31 years to go. We're halfway there. Think about it.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your time together today?

Seven. That phone call was short and sweet. Great hearing his voice. Excellent.

On a scale from 1-10 how positively do you feel about your relationship at this point?

Seven. I kind of feel like we're coasting to the end, but it's a good coast. Kind of like the coast of the Pacific Northwest. Just beautiful. Wow, I'm so so so very sleepy.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your chemistry with him/her?

Seven.
