Jake and Emily. Day 23.

“Good boyfriend. Goodnight.”

What did you do today?

We planned to go to the temple today. Emily came over a bit early and I had a lemon that was starting to look like it was on its way to being wilted, so we made some hummus. Then we went to the temple.

Afterwards, we came back to my place to make some curry. We used a jar of coconut curry and put it on some fried vegetables. It turned out to be super bland, so we opened up my cupboard and started throwing spices at it.

I may be a little biased, but it turned out dang good. It turned into some kind of spicy peanut curry. I was very proud of our improv cooking skills.

Also, we played a quick round of speed while we were cooking. I won't say who the winner was, but let's just say, I didn't lose.

What did you learn about them? What did you learn about yourself?

I don't know if I learned anything particularly new today. I saw Emily's cooking skills today. She did well!

Also, our kitchen was a little bit of a mess when she came over. Emily helped clean up our kitchen before we started making food. That was awfully kind of her.

It also occured to me that we haven't really done any repeat activities in our baeship. There has been a lot of variety and it has been great!

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your time together today?

Happy Veterans Day Eve!

What did you do today?

Pre temple: we made food in the form of homemade hummus.

Temple: we attended a session and had a good chat.

Post temple: we made more food. He had a bland curry sauce from the grocery store that needed some doctoring up. We ended up adding a little of this and lot of that: peanut butter, honey, and 75% of the spices in his cupboard. I don’t know how exactly it happened, but it turned into something AMAZING.

What did you learn about them? What did you learn about yourself?

He’s a good cook. Good veggie chopper. Good improviser. Good chatter. Good boyfriend. Goodnight.
